Cathy Layton President	Windsor of Lakewood Ranch Cathy has been a licensed real estate professional in Florida since 1978. Cathy is a graduate of Riverview High School and received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Colorado in 1982. Her background includes assisted living development and ownership, commercial construction, commercial real estate sales, and development of offices, residential, and institutional properties. Layton and her husband, Pete Russell, currently own three assisted living facilities in Manatee County including The Windsor of Lakewood Ranch. Cathy has served on the boards of Big Brothers Big Sisters, Gulf Coast Heritage Association, and the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce. She has been involved in Leadership Sarasota County, Youth Leadership Sarasota County (Co-Founder), Professional Selection Committee for the School Board of Sarasota County, 12^th Circuit Bar Grievance Committee, Sarasota County Planning Commissioner, and the Housing Authority City of Sarasota. Presently she chairs the Sarasota County Charter Review Board, is vice-chair of Lakewood Ranch Medical Center Board of Governors, and is a founding director of The Bank of Commerce.
Ron Masseo *Vice President*	Principal of Masseo Home Inspections, LLC Ron has been in the home building and development industry for more than 20 years. In addition to holding key positions in various companies, Ron has also owned businesses. He created Masseo Home Inspections as a distinct service company that offers expert home inspections with an eye for details that only someone with first-hand construction experience understands. Ron is a member of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) and holds his General Contractor license. Beyond Ron’s technical skills, Southwest Florida knowledge, and management experience, he brings a deep commitment to the community. Ron is chairman of the Lakewood Ranch YMCA. He has also been a board member for the Manatee Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Manatee, served as a Greenbrook Village board member, and member of the Collier Building Industry Association.
Bob Borkowski *Treasurer*	Vice President, Investment Division at the Lakewood Ranch Office of Northern Trust Bank of Florida N.A. Bob has more than thirty years of experience in portfolio management with various organizations including Provident Mutual Management, Co., Inc. and Provident National Bank. Bob attended Pennsylvania State University, graduating in 1972 with a B.S. degree in Finance and in 1973 earned an MBA in Finance. In 1978, Bob received his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. Originally from the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area, Bob and his wife, Karol, now live in Lakewood Ranch. They have two grown daughters. Bob is presently an active member in both the CFA Institute and the Financial Analyst Society of Tampa. He also served as President of his community’s Home Owners Association in Pennsylvania.
Ardell Terry	Fundraising Consultant for Atsaides Associates, Inc. Ardell is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University Masters Degree program. Ardell has extensive experience in all aspects of fundraising, including the oversight of campaign management, fostering board and volunteer external relations, and supervision of college institutional advancement programs.
Don O'Leary *Immediate Past President*	Retired New York City Fire Fighter Don helped secure fire stations for Lakewood Ranch and has served or serves on the Florida Blood Services Board, the Schroeder-Manatee Ranch Advisory Board, and the Civic Action Forum. He has been active in Lakewood Ranch on the budget, safety, and compliance committees. He is a past recipient of the C. John A. Clarke Humanitarian of the Year Award from the Lakewood Ranch Community Fund.
Joseph Najmy Legal Counsel	Partner of Najmy Thompson , PL Joe was admitted to the Florida.Bar in 1990. Preparatory Education: University of South Florida (B.A. in Accounting, 1983); Legal Education: Florida State University (J.D. with honors, 1989); American Jurisprudence Book Award in Federal Estate and Gift Taxation; Certified Public Accountant, Florida, 1985. Member: Manatee County, Florida and American Bar Associations; Estate Planning Council of Manatee County (President of Council, 1998-1999); Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants; Kiwanis Club of Bradenton, Florida (1993-2003); Founding Member, Director, and Treasurer of the Rotary Club of Lakewood Ranch (2001-2003) and current member; President and Director of Manatee County First Call for Help (1993 - 1996); Director and President of Easter Seals of Southwest Florida (Board Director 1996-2003, President of Board 2002-2003); Director, Manatee County Head Start Program (1994-1996).
Diane Brune	Author and Master Level Life Coach Diane moved to Lakewood Ranch in November, 2004, from Holden Beach, NC. She has been active with the LWR Community Fund serving on the LWR Grants Committee for two years and is currently on the Outreach and Marketing Committee. She and her husband Greg have committed to a Donor Advised Fund. On April 14, 2009, they gave a speech at the Social Gathering of Friends to encourage other neighbors to participate in a fund and/or become active in the important work of serving the needs of LWR and Manatee County. Diane and Greg have been regular participants in the galas and various fund raisers held throughout the years! In North Carolina Diane was co-chair of the Sunshine Board of Directors. The program provided housing, counseling, and privacy for families who were victims of domestic violence. With the support of her company's employees, Diane also headed a non-profit task force to help establish a Head Start Program for the children of migrant workers in Brunswick County, NC. Diane was co-owner of Lockwood Leadership International which delivered training, executive coaching, and feedback instruments to Fortune 500 companies. Diane holds a Masters in Community Counseling from St. Bonaventure University and is certified by the International Coaches Federation as a Master Level Life Coach. She is co-author of the book “Modern Stress, the Needless Killer” and has been an adjunct professor at a variety of universities.
Jeff Burkee	Senior Vice President, The Bank of Commerce Jeff is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin. Jeff has been involved with such organizations as the Manatee County Chamber of Commerce, Manatee County Economic Development Council, Chairman of the Manatee County “Industry of the Year Awards,” Sarasota County Chamber of Commerce, Alliance for Lupus Research in Sarasota County, and the Sarasota County Economic Development Council. He was the team captain for the United Way Campaign in 2005 and is a volunteer at Fruitville Elementary School.
Keith Davey *Secretary*	Consultant for Watson Wyatt Worldwide Keith moved to Lakewood Ranch in 2005. He retired from Michigan Consolidated Gas Company where he held various executive positions in customer service, credit and collection, employee benefits, strategic planning, and marketing and sales. Currently, he is a part-time consultant for Watson Wyatt Worldwide. Keith was President of the Greenbrook Homeowners Association for two years and Chairman of the Greenbrook Safety Committee. He is Vice-President of the Civic Action Forum and currently working on the Lakewood Ranch Incorporation Study project. He was a member of the Community Fund grant committee for two years and currently chairs the committee.
Bob Delaney	Principal of Delaney Consultants Bob is a 22 year veteran NBA Referee, an NBA Play-off Official for 21 years, and an NBA Finals official for ten years. He served as a New Jersey State Police Trooper from 1973-1987. He infiltrated the Mob in a 3 year undercover investigation during the 1970's and testified before the United States Senate Hearings on Organized Crime in 1981 . His community involvement includes Easter Seals Southwest Florida Board of Directors 2000-2004, National Basketball Referee Association Executive Board 1995-2002& 2008 to present, 13th Avenue Community Center Board of Directors 2005-present, Lakewood Ranch Community Fund Board of Directors 2003-present, National Co Chair Blow the Whistle on Cancer Campaign for the Jimmy V Foundation for Cancer Research, Director & Sponsor of The Delaney Leadership Academy Manatee County School District, and numerous local charity events committees. He has received awards for community service and leadership from the National Association of Sports Officials Gold Whistle Award, NBA Community Service Award, New Jersey State Police Former Trooper of the Year Award, New Jersey State Police Blue Max Meritorious Award, Essex County New Jersey Valor Award, New Jersey Bankers Association Law Enforcement Award, and was inducted into New Jersey City University Athletics Hall of Fame in 2006. Nick Drizos	President, Portfolio Manager of Horizon Wealth Advisors Nick has more than 16 years of trust and financial management experience. He is responsible for management of portfolios and wealth accumulation as well as preservation for high-net worth individuals and families. Nick began his career on Wall Street in the early nineties working as a Municipal Bond market maker. His primary responsibilities were helping clients market and trade their positions in a trillion dollar market. Prior to forming Horizon Wealth Advisors, Nick served as Portfolio Manager and Team Leader for M&I Wealth Management and Comerica Bank. Nick is a graduate of Bentley College where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Active in the community, he serves on the board of directors for the Sarasota Manatee Association for Riding Therapy (SMART) and is a founding member of Lakewood Ranch Elks Club #2855. He also supports the American Cancer Society and Boys and Girls Club of Sarasota.
Wilson Jones	Retired Corporate Executive Wilson retired from BoardSource where he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He provided executive leadership and oversaw various BoardSource functions including development and marketing of new product lines and Web-based services; implementation of programs to support BoardSource's partnerships and collaborative efforts; and enhancement of BoardSource's integrated programmatic, financial, administrative, and technology management systems. Previously, Mr. Jones served in senior management posts at the IBM Corporation and the Aspen Institute where he served as Director of Corporate Relations, and is a former Senior Fellow. He has extensive general management experience, as well as marketing, organization planning, and executive education development experience in both domestic and international environments. Mr. Jones holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Howard University in Washington, D.C. and a Master's degree in Business Policy from the Columbia University Business School in New York City. He has been an ANI-RRG* board member since 2001 and has been the Chairman since 2003.
Lydia Kolbas	Wealth Coach and President of Family Financial Strategies, Inc. Lydia is an active member of the Financial Planning Association, The Southwest Florida Estate Planning Council, the Manatee Community Foundation Founders, and has served on numerous community, civic, and professional boards. She served for two years on the strategic planning program task force for the National Financial Planning Association. She has been quoted in USA Today on several occasions. Lydia was one of the original board members of the Lakewood Ranch Community Fund and, in addition to her role as a board member, serves as the chair of the Outreach and Marketing Committee as well as a liaison making presentations to community groups regarding the Fund.
Barbara Najmy	Michael Saunders & Company Barbara has been blessed with understanding the true secret of life….. “we make a living by what we get…we make a life by what we give.” A resident of Sarasota for more than 38 years, she and husband Joe have raised their children Brittany 19 and Justin 12 with the same foundation. As a real estate professional, Barbara is a visionary, a creative thinker, and has an amazing intuition. Her concierge business model remains unique and embodies her exclusive real estate portfolio. Even at the young age of eleven, working with her father, she had the intuition to respond to clients with “It’s my pleasure.” Faith, family, and friends complete the journey of her life and she lives that philosophy every day. Miranda Oswald	Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Lakewood Ranch Communities, LLC Miranda is one of the area's most experienced sales and marketing professionals with more than 25 years in sales and marketing positions with Lennar, Homes by Towne, Michael Saunders, Neal Communities, and other real estate firms. Miranda serves on the board of directors of the Sarasota/Manatee Home Builders Association and is the Sales and Marketing Council Chairperson. When Miranda is not working, she is either volunteering or spending time at one of her daughter’s favorite hobbies of Youth Symphony or helping her husband with the marketing of his Martial Arts School.
Ron Robertson	Retired Corporate Executive Bob is a retired C.O.O. and co-owner of several umbrella companies specializing in “Logistics, Warehouse & Distribution, Manufacturing, and Commercial Real Estate” throughout the United States for the car and heavy-duty truck industry. Ron, and his wife Glenda, moved to Southern Florida in 1999 after selling his share of the companies to his partner. In 2003, he and his wife relocated to Lakewood Ranch where their son, Shawn, and his family also reside. Ron is active in community outreach programs, i.e. Young Life, and he loves to play golf. His love of golf and his interest in the community were instrumental in his affiliation with the Community Fund. He has served on the Community Fund Golf Committee for several years.
Dr. Richard "Dick" Wharton	Retired Educational Administrator/Educational Consultant Dick moved to Lakewood Ranch with his wife, Dr. Lou Bertha McKenzie-Wharton, from Sarasota in 2003. Prior residence were; Canary Islands, Spain; Boston, MA; East Orange, NJ; New York, NY and West Hartford, CT. He attended Harvard University, Cambridge, MA (B.A., German; M.A.T., Spanish) and Teachers College, Columbia University, New York (Ed. M. and Doctorate, Educational Administration – School Systems). Dick’s career has included; Teacher, East Orange, NJ School System; Administrative Staff, Teachers College, Columbia University, NY; Legislative Agent/County Representative, New Jersey School Boards Association (Trenton, NJ); Consultant, Wharton & McKenzie-Wharton Consultants (West Hartford, CT and Lakewood Ranch, FL) and Bureau Chief and Educational Consultant, Connecticut State Department of Education. Dick has been involved with other interests including; Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity, Gamma Xi Boule (Sarasota/Bradenton, FL – Chair, Finance Committee; Thesauristes Elect); 1st Congregational UCC of Sarasota, FL (Chair, Board of Personnel; Member, Board of Trustees; Tenor, Chancel Choir); Board Member, Sarasota City Parks Foundation; Board of Trustees, Horace Bushnell Church, UCC (Hartford, CT); Corporator, Hartford Hospital (Hartford, CT); Teachers College, Columbia University Alumni Council (New York); Connecticut District Export Council, U.S. Department of Commerce (Hartford, CT); Board of Directors, Women’s League Daycare Center (Hartford, CT); President, Education Administrators Association, Connecticut State Department of Education (Hartford, CT); Member, Administrative Council Connecticut State Department of Education (Hartford, CT); Family and Day Care Services Committee, United Way of Greater Hartford, CT; traveled extensively in the United States and around the world. Dick and Lou have two sons; Dr. Jonathan Wharton and Mr. Joseph Wharton.
Jim Wilson	Chief Executive Officer, Lakewood Ranch Medical Center Jim served as CEO of Central Montgomery Medical Center (a part of Universal Health Services) from 2007-2009 and made considerable progress in improving operations at the facility. During his tenure, Jim improved patient safety, physician satisfaction, and employee satisfaction while serving the local area in numerous charitable and community organizations. Prior to joining UHS, he served as Chief Financial Officer/Interim Chief Executive Officer, Pottstown Medical Center, Pottstown, Pennsylvania, and Chestnut Hill Health System, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He also served in multiple locations in Florida with Columbia/HCA from 1994-1999. Wilson began his career almost twenty-five years ago as an Emergency Medical Technician in Lake Zurich, Illinois. He later served as an Auditor for the Office of Inspector General, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and Mutual of Omaha. A graduate of Creighton University with a B.S.B.A. in Accounting, he received a Masters in Healthcare Administration from Regis University in Denver, Colorado. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and Healthcare Financial Management Association.
